Campfire Cooking: Pinterest Ideas!

What's the best part about camping? Hiking out in the fresh mountain air? Disconnecting from all of your devices? Spending that extra one-on-one time with the family? All good reasons... but we get excited about the amazing food on camping trips!

Camp South RV has scoured Pinterest for some of our favorite campfire recipes:

Breakfast

Start the day off with a hearty Camper's Breakfast Hash courtesy of the folks at Taste of Home.

Lunch

Keep lunch on the lite side since happy hour is right around the corner 😉. We're going with Greek Lemon Chicken Skewers with Taziki Sauce by Danae from Recipe Runner!

Happy Hour! (Finally)

Let's start with our dip of choice: Warm Skillet Bread and Artichoke Dip from Seasons & Suppers.

And for our happy hour cocktail, we're making the refreshing Grapefruit Moscow Mules put together by Taylor from Greens & Chocolate.

Dinner

Are you full yet? We still have dinner and dessert to go! For dinner we're heading back to the campfire and tapping Fresh Off The Grid's Campfire Paella. You'll need access to some fresh shellfish, but we promise this paella is totally worth it.

Dessert

Congrats! You've made it to the best meal of the day (in our opinion). And what better campfire dessert than stuffing a waffle cone with whatever dessert you like best! You can do traditional s'mores, you can toss in Reese's or Butterfinger, or berries and banana. Make it yours! This fantastic idea is courtesy of Ashley Wagner at CenterCutCook!

Cinco de Mayo Weekend: A Celebration of Food

We love Cinco de Mayo. Guacamole, Margaritas, Burritos, Queso, Chimichangas... Okay, it's about more than delicious Mexican food. Cinco de Mayo "...commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over the French forces of Napoleon III on May 5, 1862, at the Battle of Puebla" (per USA Today.) We can all respect a little history.

Now, back to the delicious Mexican dishes we're making this Cinco de Mayo weekend:
