Mark your calendar for April 3rd! That is the official start of camping season here at Camp South RV. On April 3rd, our 2018 30 ft. Four Winds RV arrives here in Nashville at our new location, 2020 Lindell Ave. Nashville, TN 37203 (next to I-65 at Wedgewood Ave).

This 30 ft. RV is perfect for families or large groups with sleeping up to 8 people. Two slide-outs, bunk and kitchen, make for an incredibly spacious layout. The weather is finally warming up here in Nashville, so come on out to Camp South RV to take a look at this new unit and plan your next vacation!

NEW LOCATION

We're excited to announce that Camp South RV has a new location in the heart of Music City. Our new facility is located in the Fort Houston complex at 2020 Lindell Ave. Nashville, TN 37203.

We're now located just 3 miles from Downtown Nashville, and only 9 miles from the Nashville Airport. Our new location, adjacent to I-65, makes it quick and easy to explore Nashville and the surrounding recreational areas. 

NEW RVs

As we enter the 2018 camping season, Camp South is pleased to announce the addition of two new RVs to our lineup! To start the season we'll offer our guests a 2018 Four Winds 28 ft. Class C, and a larger bunk model 30 ft. Class C that will be perfect for families and larger groups. Please be sure to view these new additions on our website, or come by our Fort Houston office to tour each unit in-person!

We're excited to grow alongside our incredible Nashville community, and we look forward to providing new RVs for our new and returning guests in 2018. This past week Camp South RV attended the National RV Trade Show at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. We spent two days (and many miles) pouring over the 2019 models from each and every recreational vehicle manufacturer.  The expo boasts 1.2 million square feet of space for manufacturers to show off new models for 2019. 

However, at the end of the week there are a few particular models that continued to standout in our mind. See below for our top picks from this year's RVIA 2017 Trade Show.

Winnebago Horizon – Class A

If we had to pick one "winner" from the show this year, this is it. This Winnebago Horizon is unlike any other Class A motorhome that we've seen. Upon your first step into the unit, it's clear that the product designers placed an emphasis on minimalistic, clean, modern styling. The end result is truly stunning. 

Airstream Tommy Bahama Edition – Travel Trailer

I know we've posted about this Airstream in the past, but we can't help it. We love the unique sense of relaxation implemented by Airstream and the team at Tommy Bahama. Everything from the open-air rear door to the floral wall print and back-lit bar area all embody the perfect vacation getaway. 

Thor Four Winds 30D – Class C

In our opinion, there isn't a better model available in Class C motorhomes for families than the Four Winds 30D from Thor Motor Coach. This unit sleeps 8 – 10 and offers the space and modern amenities that families are looking for all in a convenient package. This model is in high demand and for good reason. We're working on bringing a 2019 model down to Camp South this year, so please stay tuned for updates on its arrival!

We just found our new favorite website. Get ready to bookmark FreshOffTheGrid.com. These folks have put together an entire website and cooking directory dedicated to camping recipes. 

The first recipe that caught our eye in their 'fall camping classics' category is their Campfire Apple Crisp. What can we say, we're suckers for dessert.

It may be 90 degrees in Nashville today, but believe it or not the fall camping season is upon us! As Southern Living points out, our Northern friends may get all the credit for fall foliage, but the South also boasts some tremendous, vibrant, fall destinations.

Southern Living highlights:

Monday Night Football Tailgating: Titans vs. Colts

Mark your calendars! Monday October 16th will see the Tennessee Titans on national TV as the team faces its division rival, the Indianapolis Colts. Expectations for the Titans are high this year, and many analysts are predicting that Tennessee will win the AFC South. 

If you're planning on tailgating this Monday night matchup, reach out to Camp South RV to rent our 2018 Four Winds. Don't forget to make arrangements for lot P at Nissan Stadium.

We also recommend tailgating with Tailgate Beer, one of our favorite local breweries. Some things just make sense. 🏈 🍺

New Travel Map!

Camp South RV is very excited to introduce a new fun feature at our website. We've added a travel map, highlighting all of the destinations our renters have visited since Camp South opened in June of this year! 

We've had our guests attend Bonnaroo, take family trips to Watts Bar Lake and Montgomery Bell State Park in Tennessee, travel up north to view the spectacle that is Niagara Falls, and this week the RV is out viewing the Eclipse!

We'll continue to update this map as we continue into the fall season, and it can be found on our Where To Camp page. And we hope this travel map provides a bit of inspiration for those looking to book their next trip!
