Memorial Day Weekend: Camping!
/May 26 – 28 marks Memorial Day Weekend! A time to honor and reflect upon those who have served and died for our great country. Thank you, all, for your service and commitment to our freedom.
The weather we've had here in Nashville this month has been beyond incredible, with temperatures in the mid-80s nearly everyday. This Memorial Day Weekend, we're recommending hitting the lake with your family and friends and our pick this year is Harrison Bay State Park just outside of Chattanooga, TN.

Campground Info:
- 162 total campsites
- 15 on waterfront
- 134 have water & electric
- All have picnic tables & fire places
- The park is located along a 40 mile stretch along Chickamauga Lake
- The entire 1,200 acre park is located 20 miles from downtown Chattanooga
- This was THE FIRST state park established in Tennessee in 1937
Activities:
- Boating – guests can rent canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards, as well as pontoon and fishing boats
- Golf Course – (Our Pick!) Guests can play this Jack Nicklaus designed course, The Bear Trace
- Bike Trails – 4.5 mile trail for mountain biking
- Hiking – varying trails ranging from a half mile, up to four and a half mile loops along the shoreline
- Swimming – In addition to the lake, the campground offers an olympic size pool that opens up Memorial Day Weekend!
