This year promises to be another exciting Independence Day celebration in Music City with a full schedule of music and events planned for Nashville's biggest party! Taking place downtown on Broadway's Riverfront Park stage, country artist Chris Young has been tapped to headline the festivities. Taking over the #1 spot from New York City, this year's fireworks display in Nashville promises to be the largest in the country with a 30-minute long spectacle accompanied by a live performance from the Nashville Symphony!

Today's featured campground is Tims Ford State Park, located in central Tennessee on the Tims Ford Reservoir. Tims Ford State Park provides 52 camp sites with water, electric, picnic tables, and a fire ring. The marina on Tims Ford Lake provides boat rentals and a launch ramp, allowing visitors a chance to take part in the lake's stellar bass fishing. In addition to fishing and hiking, the park is also home to Bear Trace at Tims Ford, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course boasting 18 scenic holes along the reservoir. This park is also located near Lynchburg, TN, the iconic small town that is home to Jack Daniel's Distillery.

While it's no surprise to those of us who call Music City home, Travel + Leisure Magazine has included Nashville in its 'Best Places To Travel in 2017.' Nashville-based journalist Kristin Luna says, "This gateway to the South has hit its stride, and 2017 looks to be a banner year." Kristin points out that the historic Ryman Auditorium is celebrating its 125th anniversary, the Country Music Hall of Fame is marking its 50th year, and Nashville's iconic Bluebird Cafe is 35 years in the making.
